1. Beware of the additional resort fee too and also of the live music on Thursday nights (music sounded great but when trying to put a baby to sleep - not ideal!).
"Great location, not so friendly staff " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/31/2010 Vote
2. Pro's- big rooms- daily cleaning- complimentary breakfast- great location- good staffCon's- Resort fee ($16/day)- Loud neigbourhood if you're looking for peace and quietAl in all very satisfactory hotel.

3. Aside from the resort fee, I would say that our overall experience at the hotel was very positive.
"Finally, the actual room matched the pictures on hotel website... " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/4/2010 Vote
4. The continental breakfast was simple but adequate (they charge you a $15 fee which includes the breakfast and beach chairs), and we ate outside on the hotel's patio which was cozy and beautiful.
"This hotel is a short walk to the beach and to the restaurants and has a pretty outdoor patio. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/2/2010 Vote
5. The location of the hotel is good ,didnt use the beach towels etc so having the $20 resort fee really didnt make any difference to my stay except to my pocket!even the paper due to be delivered every morning (cost covered in the resort fee) was only delivered 2 days out of 3.
"Was very disappointed " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/11/2008 Vote
6. There was a resort fee of $20 plus tax despite me being quoted by perfect escapes as $10 plus tax and the valet parking was extortionate at $25 per night and 15 minute wait for car so god knows where this was parked.
"Was very disappointed " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/11/2008 Vote
7. The beach is a short walk, but be aware that the chairs and umbrellas included in the fee are taken away by five in the afternoon--a reasonable time ordinarily, but at mid-summer when there are 4 hours of sunlight left, you're left with no shade on a hot beach.
"Nice, quiet, and friendly " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/15/2007 Vote
8. Then there is the resort fee, in theory for Wifi, beach towels and gym.
"One of the worst hotels out there " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/22/2010 Vote
9. Another issue I had was the resort fee ($15/day) excluding taxes of course.
"Hotel Astor - A few gripes but overall a good hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/3/2010 Vote
10. This fee ($15) is charged to you every day of your stay to cover the 'complimentary' continental breakfast, beach towels and beach chairs.
"Finally, the actual room matched the pictures on hotel website... " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/4/2010 Vote
