10. 2) the front desk people are nice, but not too helpful - they want you to stay at the resort and spend your money there - so get a copy of HAWAII, THE BIG ISLAND REVEALED, by Andrew Doughery, to find the best deals on stuff, places to go, eat, and how to get around.
