1. We had the run of the village rate which guaranteed us the best available hale and as September is quite slow we were very impressed with our deluxe hale.

2. We booked last minute on the internet rate that promises you the best category hale available.
"Worth it " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/3/2008 Vote
3. What was upsetting was that for the rate (~ $1,000/night!) We felt like we were being nickle-and-dimed.
"Loved the place ~ hated the extra fees " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/19/2007 Vote
4. For the budget conscious:If your dates are flexible, look out for off-season discounts through sites like jetsetter and travelzoo- we paid 50% off rack rate for our hale after a discount coupled with an upgrade.
"Heavenly and unique Hawaiian experience " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/2/2011 Vote
5. I would advise KVR to consider other dining options for your guests who do not opt for the all inclusive rate.
"Hotel is very special... but dining options are annoying " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/29/2010 Vote
6. Most hotels have a grace period of one hour, especially properties that charge the same rate as The Four Seasons.
"Shame on you, Kona Village! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/29/2010 Vote
7. We have been to a few luaus and this by far beat any that we have gone to and it was also included with the room rate.

8. Still, it's a fabulous experience with some water sports, all meals, in roomrefreshments, luaus and other entertainment included in the room rate.
"Old Hawaii at its Best " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/24/2009 Vote
9. Which is annoying because we were paying the same rate as the 'regulars'.
"Staff is smug... " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/12/2008 Vote
10. By the end, our extras over four days amounted to almost $500 (and we didn't have ANY alcoholic drinks or restaurant specialty items- this was just gratuities and transfers to the airport) I would much prefer they just add $100 or whatever to the daily rate, or really itemize everything (X amount for the room rate, X amount for the activity fee, itemized restaurant charges, etc.), but this in-between arrangement they abide by is simply annoying.
"Lovely, but a bit tacky " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/30/2008 Vote
