1. This boutique hotel did not have a restaurant as it is apparently on hold with refurbishing; however, we walked to the hotel behind us and ate breakfast at the Hau Tree Lanie restaurant on the beach at the New Otani Hotel.

5. It is super convenient to everything, steps from the beach and great restaurants, but if you want to be among the masses, swept up in the tourist mayhem, or clambering to get into Abercrombie and Fitch, you'll actually have to WALK 10 blissful beach minutes to get there.

8. We wanted to stay someplace a little more peaceful than Waikiki but still be able to walk to restaurants and stores (with a nice walkway along the beach to Waikiki, takes about 15 to 20 minutes).

10. We appreciated that there were new chairs for use at beaches and new umbrellas, but the restaurant that was temproarily closed never did reopen, and as our visit was longer this time we did miss the convenience of a pool and fitness room.
