6. For example, while we were able to get a pretty decent rate on the hotel itself thanks to Hotwire, once you added in the $30.00 a night we had to pay for valet parking (they do not let you park your car yourself), it was just as expensive as some of the other hotel options.

8. So if you don't want to go to the yucky beach and are just there to sight-see, etc., you may be better off checking into the hotels not as close to the beach to get a better rate with a nicer view.
