1. There is a mini fridge in the room so we went one block behind the hotel to Food Pantry and stocked up on papayas, pineapples, alcohol and baked good items which helped save cost during our stay.

2. We were going to use the shuttle service from the hotel, at a cost of $40 for both of us, but ended up using one of the local shuttle services for $10 each.

3. The only valid complaints I had was that it cost $30 a day for parking but you really can't complain because it's the same no matter where you stay in Waikiki.

7. The restaurant staff were completely disorganised when we were there with long waiting times, running out of cuttlery, milk, yoghurt etc and one morning because there was omelettes on the menu put the cost of breakfast up $4.00 to $15.

9. As mentioned by other reviewers you get to use the pink trolley for free which we found saved us a bit of money as the bus cost $2.50 pp each way which adds up for 3 people.

10. you can find an IHOP, Denny's, McDonald's, Perry Smorgy (relatively low cost buffets), a supermarket called the Food Pantry, and Prince Kuhio Pharmacy.
