1. If I really didn't want to pay the $40, I could have booked a hotel on the outskirts of DC and taken the metro in, but I wanted the convenience of being able to walk, avoid the metro, etc. It's just one of those costs you have to accept and it is in line with every other hotel in a metropolitan area.

5. The fitness center on the main level looks to be well appointed but it will cost you $15/day to use it if you're not a Hilton Honors member of a certain level.
