2. :)I had booked a 'bed and breakfast' special but they did try to charge me for breakfasts, however; they took it off the bill as soon as I mentioned it.

4. When we asked for the bill, much to our surprise 1) the hotel did not only charge the 100 dollars a night for the Taipan club (with the extras mentioned above) but also charge us for 5 breakfasts (about 300 dollars too much, because breakfast was included in the amount paid for the Taipan club),2) for 6 nights in stead of 5 (another 325 dollars too much),3) for internet (which was included in Taipan) and that was another 75 dollars too much and last (and least)4) for a minibar which we did not use (20 dollars too much).
"Rooms ok, very friendly people at the Taipan Club, but unprofessional reception and check your bill!!! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/31/2009 Vote

7. We had complimentary wi-fi internet access but could not get the free codes to work; the front desk was able to get us the 'pay' code and the fee waived - it never appeared on our bill, so that was great that we didn`t have to address that at check-out.

10. From check-in, when they didn't have any record of the detailed notes from my Virtuoso agent to the Mandarin contact (which I had an e-mail copy of), to arguing with me that (1) they didn't know my family was traveling with me (a fact stated out in great detail in that e-mail which they apologized for missing) and (2) they didn't do turn-down because my do not disturb light was on (a light that went on after 8:30 pm), to the room that is a few years past the need for a renovation, to the untrained staff (an employee actually squeezed himself into an elevator with six people with a mini-fridge on his shoulders - hovering it over the heads of my children), to the check-out (when the bill was error-laden and we found that my kids were supposed to have received stuffed animals upon check-in), this hotel continued to disappoint.
"Doesn't come close to what you would expect - pick another great DC hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/8/2009 Vote
