5. We chose the Phoenix Park because of the walking access to all that Capitol Hill area has to offer, so we left the car parked and enjoyed the beauty of the parks, fountains and buildings and took advantage of neighborhood restaurants and bars including the well known and popular Dubliner located on the bottom level of the hotel.

6. But the staff is friendly, particularly the manager and bellmen, and there's a friendly, smaller hotel vibe that is completely lacking at the chains in the neighborhood.
