1. It is far more than I have ever paid for a hotel in my life, but this trip was a once-in-a-lifetime dream, so I decided it was well worth the cost to be close to sights and Union Station, safe, and comfortable.

4. Because the Mall and Capital are within easy walking distance and the Union Station Metro is right there, we felt in the centre of everything -there was no need for a car or the cost of parking.

5. You will need to take a cab to some of the further attractions, but even those aren't that costly for what they save you in walking time and sore feet.
