1. The fact it was partially wrapped in plastic for some exterior work didn't help matters - we had a pretty decent suite on the 12th floor with lovely views of .

3. OK so the view out of the window was of scaffolding but who cares when the room is quiet and comfortable and the hotel is bang in the centre of town with only a moment or two to walk to Faneuil Hall and all the other attractions.

4. ) I stated the upgrade was to have a better view and she said it was actually to be on a higher floor, although their e-mail confirmation advertises it as a higher floor for a better view.

Luckily another same-sized room was found on the same floor without scaffolding, but if it had not been available the information I was getting from the front desk was that we requested the upgrade (for better views out of the windows!) and were granted the upgrade and would not be refunded, even though the windows were covered and there was no view.

6. The only complaint was we decided to pay for an upgrade upon check-in to a higher level floor ($25 per night for Hilton Honors members) for better views.

7. The one bedroom suite was large with a nice view, but there were stains on the carpet (crayon?), the toilet ran if you forgot to giggle the handle, and the decor was very dated.
