1. Dooley's pub just on the next corner had great food and atmosphere, the Faneuil Hall marketplace was 5 minutes away, and the BackBay Events Centre where we attended a Brian Weiss workshop was approximately 20 minutes away.

5. The doormen at the Hilton Downtown also serve as the concierges -- the buddies in the bar talking about sports, the tour guides giving visitors advice about what to see, how to get places, the best food in town, etc. The hotel's location is great - nice area of town, anything you need within walking distance.
"Comfort Without Complication " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/26/2012 Vote
6. So the food options are plenty in case you want to try something different than hotel food.

8. Location: 5-10 minute walk to Faneuil Hall / Quincy Market, 10 minute walk to the shopping district (including the 'Downtown Crossing' subway station where one can catch a 10 minute subway ride to Cambridge/Harvard Square and a 15 minute ride to Fenway Park), 15 minute walk from the North End (Boston's little Italy with fantastic restaurants - I would recommend Strega on Hanover Street - a small and quaint restaurant offering an exciting atmosphere and some of the best Italian food I have ever sampled) and a 20 minute walk (5 minute cab ride) to the 'original' Cheers location (note that the bar bears little resemblance to the TV show and that there is a Cheers located closeby in Faneuil Hall).
