1. The only odd thing I noticed this time was a faint burnt/roasted smell to all of the towels, washcloths, etc. I chalked it up to overenthusiastic drying.

7. The room I had was recently refurbished with king size bed, flat screen tv, internet access for a fee (didn't need it) a nice desk and plenty of towels in the bathroom, which was a little on the small side and shower pressure was low.
