2. Georgetown is an easy 15 minute walk (to M street), but it's worthwhile to walk back and forth on the streets to see the amazing homes and history.

3. Our preference was to drive up to the zoo and park free on the street for a couple of hours in the early morning, take an early lunch further NW up Connecticut Av, and then head in to the mall for monumental escapades in the afternoon.

4. I'm a loyal Hilton patron and when my conference hotel (marriott wardman) was booked solid, I have no issue staying down the street at the Washington Hilton.

5. If you go during the weekend I recommend to look for free street parking around the hotel and use the $80 towards a nice dinner.

10. Being just up the street from Dupont Circle Metro, it`s in a good area away from the normal tourist spots with great food and shopping options nearby.
