My one negative is the noise from the
balcony
chairs scraping along the floor that would wake us up every morning as people around us moved their chairs on their balconies.

Unfortunately our room
balcony
overlooked the kids pool and water slide.

Nothing better than walking down to the starbucks and then enjoying it on your
balcony
overlooking the ocean to start the day.

It was annoying and we watched this happen every morning from our
balcony
overlooking the pool.

But starting at 6AM a procession of delivery trucks kept up awake when they had to open and slam the roll-up doors at the back of the bed and the annoying beeping when they backed up, When the trucks weren't there, the howling wind noise from the sliding doors to the
balcony
that did not seal properly provided an eerie background noise.

Things I didn't like:4) The rail on the
balcony
was just the wrong height so that it blocked the view of the ocean5) The nickel & dime junk that Marriott and other hotels in that class do is annoying.
"Great place - just didn't do it for me especially for the price "

Dead bugs and spilled ice cream under the beds on day 1, filthy room corners, tired room appearance, noisy central A/C, noisy
balcony
door that slam with a good deal of fortitude.

The
balcony
faced another small dumpy dirt courtyard, beyond it was the main drive way where every car pulled into the lobby and every pedestrian who walked back and forth to the Shops at Wailea.

When I checked in the front desk told me I was upgraded to an ocean view which excited me, however, when I got to the room, I found the view of the ocean was when I stepped on the
balcony
and leaned over the rail and craned my neck to the left.
