1. If you're into good sushi, check out Koiso by Chef Kudo in Kihei, that was easily the best meal on this trip.

2. I am platinum Marriott rewards member, so I don't know if that is the reason, but we asked for a late check out since we had a red-eye back to the mainland, they couldn't let us stay in our room we were in all week, but they moved us to a more modest room and let us check out at 7pm.

3. Renting a car is a must, check out Lahaina for good shopping, and Big Beach near the resort.

4. I would recommend to check out the General Store on the main floor as well as on the 2nd floor of the Wailea Shops a 2 minute walk from the lobby.
