1. The other resorts likely have better amenities, rooms, and restaurants, but the Marriot was a much better fit for us and the price (while more expensive than most reosrts on the island) was much cheaper than the Grand Wailea, Four Seasons, or the Fairmont.

3. The restaurant that they tout is good, but for the prices, go over to the mall and eat at Tommy Bahama's.

7. If you've got a ride, I would recommend heading into Kihei though for some more reasonable prices and local grinds.
