1. Although we didn't suffer from road noise you could hear other rooms through the thin walls.

But our real nightmare started at after 1am midnight- since we have a minor surgery at USCF centre the next day, we went to bed a bit earlier, but after past mid night- we were woke up by the running water and heavy foot steps from upstairs, then leaking water in the bathroom--- minutes later, we heard loud repair work, with chain-sawing and drilling noises from upstairs at almost 1:30am.

4. The room was okay size, but with a tiny bathroom, barely can move around- tho just done renovation, ceiling was still run-down, we can literally hear most of noises and foot steps from neighbours.

5. The air-con unit created far more noise than it did cool air so, in order to sleep we had to turn it off; being too hot was preferable to not sleeping at all.

7. The walls are pretty thin so you could hear people walking around in the room above and outside in the corridor but the noise from outside was minimal.

9. When we looked out the window, we were over the bus yard, so I was prepared to have a lot of noise, but I got lucky compared to the others in my situation and really didn't hear much noise at all.
