1. The lobby is bustling and has a great city vibe, but the rooms in the tower are quite and take you away from all the hype.

9. The lobby bar has a lot of good local brews on tap, along with the only free wi-fi in the hotel - lots of smart people who don't want to pay $12/day to use the internet for 30 min have a beer and use the wi-fi.

Very convenient location, minutes to cable cars, Union Square, Market Street, huge Westfield and all specialty and big name shops - Macys, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales etc.The stafff were super polite and helpful for the most part - I wouldn't falt it although I do admit that free wifi in the rooms would be appreciated - you could always go down to the lobby for free Internet though.
