If you do not get a renovated room, you are supposed to be able to use their
spa
for free.

The passes for the nearby
spa
are gender-specific (only males or only females) except for Tuesdays, so they weren't useful for a relaxing couple weekend (but would be great for traveling with same-gender family or friends.

The free passes to the
spa
were nice to have, but we didn't use as there is only one day a week that is coed, which wasn't while we were in town, and my husband and I wanted to experience the
spa
together.

The building is very nice as well and the complimentary offer of communal bath at Kabuki Springs and
Spa
made our stay even more perfect.

In addition, the Kabuki Bath and
Spa
was about 3 blocks away which was a wonderful feeling of cultural immersion, without going all the way to Japan.

Perhaps best of all the associated Kabuki
Spa
& Springs takes relaxation to a whole new level and it is only a short walk away.

Also, the hotel gives you a
spa
-like feel with the nice bath and the nearby
spa
, but don't expect
spa
-like amenities like good bath products or luxurious towels, although the robes were very nice.
