1. Unfortunately we had to have our room changed 3 times as the first room we were given was really bad, it was really run down, there were stains on mattress along with a very bad smell.
2. The room smelled strongly of damp and the airconditioning sounded like a jumbo jet.
3. The second room was on the ninth floor in block 3 and although marginally better, as it did not smell as bad it was still in need of complete renovation and a very good clean.
4. The room was absolutely disgusting, on opening the door we were met with a disgusting smell, the room was extremely old and in need of complete renovation with cupboard doors hanging off.
5. On Sunday, March 31, 2012, we checked in to room #1402, but only stayed one night because we were unhappy with the room: the room smelled dank, there was a big wet spot in the living room carpet, the carpet was frayed and dirty, the caulking in the bathrooms was discolored and looked dirty, the beds were uncomfortable, etc. We registered our complaints with the staff, who were pleasant.
6. back to the room, smelled of smoke, spillage on the carpet and furniture.
7. The room my husband and I slept in (or I should say 'tried' to sleep in smelled so atrocious I thought there must be a dead animal in the room.
8. When arrived we have been showed three rooms - in the first one toilet was not flushing, in the second one there was a constant humming noise, third one smelled funny but we stayed there as the reception stuff already looked at us in the way we knew better not to ask them for anything else.
9. This room was cleaner and looked nicer but the bed was 3 mattresses stacked on top of each other, the bathroom stank of bleach and damp and the kitchen also had a weird smell and was crawling with tiny insects.
10. I have stayed at 3* hotels before so didn't expect the ritz but was slightly disappointed as the smell was really off putting - luckily we didn't spend much time in the room.
11. then the fun started boiler burst 3am in my inlaws room so theyhad to be moved another room on floor 1 back door really dodgy plus a table that was about to collapse so moved to another one and was all ok, we then left to spend some time at the beach, the rep had offered us another hotel on our return but we decided against it as thought surely after everything we will get decent rooms, not the case my room the smell of damp was really bad and shower trickled out the other room was a lot better but the toilet overflowed on one occasion nice.
12. A room a few doors down had a burst pipe and it flooded the hall way and was not cleaned up properly and smell was awful for the last week of our stay.
13. The Breakfast room also smelled damp.
14. There has been some comment about the state of the corridors, the smell and the condition of the carpets, yes there were some smells but that was because people were cooking in there rooms, and on all the floor we had to go on I never saw any riped or torn carpets, any way you dont live in corridors.
15. Upon walking into the building there was a strong smell of mold but we were got into our room there was no smell.
16. Hall carpets are really dirty and not the areas where you normaly walk on , as soon as you enter the room you smell the dampness the cupboards were worse ,the carpets in the rooms are covered in stains and the bed sheets had a stale smell the bathroom needs cleaning urgently, at this point i'd like to point out that we managed to see into 4 other rooms on different floors and it was the same.
17. On arrival at our room we were given on the second block ground floor the room was quite damp smelling and dark, the patio sat two chairs with no outlook.
18. The hallways smell of assorted cooking odors emitting from the rooms.
19. -the couch was uncomfortable and smelled like urine-the toilet only flushed every 3rd time we tried-the bedroom was tiny- only could get in the bed from one side- no lights unless you climbed on the bed and pulled the cord on the fan -the floor was disgusting- we refused to take our shoes off-the tables hardly stood on their own-if we wanted clean towels, we had to call and ask for them- they weren't delivered daily or everyother day even-the room was not cleaned once while we stayed- even the day we hung the 'please clean this room' sign on the doorWhat was truly upsetting is we walked past several rooms that were being cleaned that were gorgeous with new furniture, clean floors, etc but when we asked for one, they told us that any room they had would be exactly what we already had.

20. Whilst the upgrade was better, the problems still existed in the fact that this hotel is way past its sell-by date: The smell still existed in the new block; the lights still did not work; the decor was still depressing; the beds very uncomfortable; but most of all the room was unsafe.
21. Rooms were dirty, security was weak, the continental breakfast was a bag with a piece of fruit, a 3 oz juice and a sweet bun and the halls smelled.
22. On entering our room we immediately noticed the strong smell of smoke and then noticed that the walls were stained brown in places, I assume due to nicotine.
23. After we checked out we went back as we had left pills, cash, phone charger, coat & Pj's in room - we only got the coat back, the 1st room had broken sqeaky bed, had 2 move furniture to close the bedroom door, the baby's cot was disgusting, under the beds obviously hadn't been cleaned in months & there was bad smell, the fridge was noisy, the shower trickled water & almost stopped completely if you flushed the loo, I scratched all night in the bed &the rooms were so small you had to squeeze yourself around the bed (& I'm only a size 8 uk!)I refused tobath or shower in the en-suites, the breakfast was awful heated up food from the pizza hut next door & they failed toadvise ya the indoor pool would be unavailable during our stay, the daytime staff were veryunhelpful & extremely ineffecient - don't ruin your holiday of a lifetime by staying in this DUMP .
24. We made ourselves scarce for the next day in the hope our room would have dried up by the time we got back, but it hadnt and it smelled extremely bad, we then had to move all our belongings for the third time to a new room.
25. It smelled like mold, so I'm sure it was somewhere in the room that wasn't visible.

27. We got to our room and it had an awful smell, so we called the front desk and they gave us a new room with an upgraded sun deck because of the inconvinence.
28. I recently stayed here in may for 3 weeks, we didnt know the room had a double bed and a sofa bed so that was a shock, I went down to reception to ask for another room, so i was given 5 different room keys to check them out and choose the best one and bring the other keys back, the first building smells of damp in my opinion, so we didnt choose that building, the 2nd building was the best one as the choice of room he gave us from this building was on the 9th floor and excellent, on the way up we were a bit fed up as we still had our cases to carry around until we chose a room, but when we saw it i was happy, it has a view of wet n wild lake and we had 2 sun longers and a table and four chairs on a big patio/balcony, it really was worth walking from building to building for it.
29. Then upon entering our room, we couldn't figure out what that smell was.

31. Oh and yeah the cleaning staff was very friendly and our room had no mildew, or mold, or hair, or water bugs, no generators, no shouting people in hallways, the hallway smelled like cinnamon not smoke or oldness, and the complimentary breakfast is not 5 star but if you want a real breakfast upgrade to the 5.99 buffet, or cook it in the kitchen provided.

38. i've vacationed in orlando for the last 10 years(mainly at the rodeway) and have come to understand that HIGH HUMMIDITY does leave things a little damp so it can leave things smelling a bit, so if the risk of something not being floral smelling 24/7 offends may i suggest that you vacation else where (i wish most british familys would)the good points are as follows: 3 very clean pools (indoor pool open 24/7) & hottubs, plenty of free towels avaliable, friendly approachable staff, 2 lifts in every block, FREE local paper, plenty of loungers and deck space, a kids play park, a quiet area over looking the lake, table tennis, a pizza hut on site, a games room, FREE semi secure (in the managers office) luggage leave, their own transportation avaliable.

40. On arrival the corridor had a damp musty smell and when we got to our room we found that we had to literally kick the door to open and shut it, the furniture was stained and threadbear and even ripped, the mugs that were left out were filthy and the whole place was not what you would call clean - we certainly didn't eat here.

48. just arrived home from 2weeks here -we were given a ticket for our continental breakfast on our arrival and looked forward to this as the brochure said being delivered with a paper every day - we had to go to the pizza hut next to reception to colloect our breakfast and to reception to collect our paper dailly - to say the first room was shabby was an understatement -first impressions was the room badly needed decorating - the balcony was big enough for two plastic patio chairs - the chest of drawers were broken and didnt shut - the bathroom was cleanish but the shower curtain smelled and was stained - the carpet was dirty -matresses old and soft --by day 6 we hadnt had our sheets changed so we asked the housekeepers if they could change them and were presented with a pile of sheets!as we were changing our sheets it drew our attention to more dirt and filth in and around the bed area -the mattress was stained and dirty during the previous night my mum was bitten several times they came up in a large blister and were very red and sore- we saught medical advise and they reckoned that it had been ants or a spider - we were on the 3rd floor so how the ants were there was anyones guess - filth we thought.
