1. It is a Hyatt, so it has the advantage of predictably solid service, but (like all Hyatts, Marriotts, Starwood properties and Hiltons) it is slightly generic.

5. Hollywood and Downtown LA were both a good twenty minute drive away, we did not mind this as we quite like driving whilst overseas, but you DEFINITELY need a car to stay here, and for that matter, LA in general.

8. Valet parking added $35 to this rate per night, but the valet was efficient and quick - our car was generally waiting for us by the time we got to the lobby.

9. I attempted to negotiate a reduction in the parking fee since I had stayed for 4 nights, and plan on returning for another 4 next month, but was told by the general Manager's office that they contract out the parking, so they were unable to adjust the fee.

10. Just finished stay for 7 days and had a very good experience - David Horowitz, general manager, was very helpful in helping to arrange our rooms as we were traveling with 3 young children.
