The door on the bathroom had to be the original door from 1895, which would have been ok,
except
it was cracked the length of it from top to bottom, and had to have at least a quarter inch of paint on it.

The room was quiet

Where were the guests in this big, busy city? Did everyone else know about the hotel workers' strike
except
for us?In the end, we enjoyed being a short walk to the Art Institute, and walking distance to just about everything we wanted to see.
