1. So with very short notice, we managed to book a room with the Buckingham the day after Christmas Day and a reasonably price (by NYC's standards).

3. Having booked the Buckingham Hotel at a very reasonable rate (half the price of most other available hotels in NYC) I was a little concerned about some of the reviews I saw on Trip Advisor about noise and cleanliness.

4. It was our 5 year anniversary, and we wanted to stay in a nice yet somewhat reasonable hotel in Manhattan, so we chose this place.

5. Also, the fitness center, which is one of the reasons I chose this hotel because we both work out, was small and the machines were not the greatest.
