1. On my first stay in 2005, we had a HUGE room with full kitchen, living/dining room, a bathroom with a beautiful big tub, huge walkin closet.

Pros -- excellent location (a few blocks from Central Park, across the street from Carnegie Hall, and a very short walk to Rockefeller Center and the Christmas tree), very nice staff, my suite had a huge bedroom plus a seating area, bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, lots of clothes storage, very good price for December in NYC.

8. Don't use taxis, use the underground - we even used it to go back to the airport with 2 huge rucksacks and handluggage - super convenient, quick and cheap.
