1. Luckily we did not need to use the in room heating as our rooms were generally a comfortable temperature.

2. As an aside, unfortunately the price of accomodation in NY vs other international cities still seems too high, perhaps a travellers revolution is needed for NY to rethink their taxes and general service charges.

3. Whilst there are some smaller improvements that can still be made at the Hotel Beacon, the rooms are generous in size and for us more importantly were clean and the staff professional.

9. I have stayed in more modern and well appointed Hotels in America for a lot less money, but then in this is Manhatten, and it is generally much more expensive to stay here so bring plenty of cash.

10. I know that there is a general problem in NY at the moment (after researching the problem) and we were moved immediately, but whist being efficient abot the incident, they showed little empathy and did so almost begrudgingly.
