1. Also there is a fast cheap clean launderette on site on the 7th floor and free use of computers printers and internet in a room off the lobby.

3. Empire State building is a con, you buy fast track tickets, then stand in line for 3 hours before reaching the top, as the ticket people ouside the building are selling fast track tickets to everybody.

8. Hotel do-your-own Laundry facilities were the best (clean, and dryers were fast -no shrink) we found in our whole 5 week holiday through West & East coast USA- all other laundries after were compared to the Beacon benchmark.

9. Unlike Midtown, the Upper West Side is a neighbourhood populated by New Yorkers rather than tourist so get get a better feel for life in the city but have all the advantages of fast transport links.

10. 72nd subway stop was also on the fast subway train route meaning we were never stuck for tubes very regular.
