4. positives:*got a huge one bedroom suite on floor 24 - breathtaking view *the suite was absolutely spotlessly clean, with a triple bed which was unbelievably comfy (had a mattress topper on it), it had two bathrooms and two TVs and a large sofa bed*the staff were extremely polite and helpful - particular mention goes to the concierge (Ann I think her name was) who gave us loads of helpful advice about places to eat and how to get to Newark for a hockey game*they happily looked after our luggage when we had checked out*it's about a 10 minute walk to Grand Central Terminal - where, apart from marvelling at its beauty, you can eat in a variety of cafes/restaurants or get a subway train*it's about a 5-10 minute walk to the Newark Airport Express bus stop - really handy*you can walk to Times Square, Broadway and Empire State Building reasonably easilyOther tips:*there's a McDonald's just opposite a little to the right - handy for Wifi or if you're desperate for a late night local snack*decent, reasonably priced breakfast at the Townhouse diner round the corner on 2nd Ave - friendly and attentive staff too*good breakfast at Bloom's Deli on corner of 40th Street *you can get provisions at some nearby supermarkets but I would avoid stores labelled as 'convenience stores' as I reckoned they ripped us off knowing that we were tourists (no prices on anything)*you won't need to take a hairdryer if you're a woman - they have one in the bathroom.
