2. IN our last visit to new York we stayed in a very nice and cosy hotel, but this time as were travelling with our kids we had to pick a family room, but out 5 hotels we stayed during our holidays in USA this one was the poorest one.

Overall, a great base to see the city - but don't expect too much from the staff (with the exception of Anne at the front door - who was very friendly & in charge of tourist info/bookings/tickets etc) the general attitude and standard of customer service was poor, but sadly seemed to be pretty 'normal' in new York.
