1. There's free wireless internet in the 8th floor lobby only (not exactly convenient).

2. If you want somewhere trendier/quieter/real then I'd go somewhere else and I wouldn't choose to stay in Times Square for vacations, (I'd choose SoHo or Meatpacking district) but for what it is, the Marriott is convenient, functional and well run.
