1. Every night they have happy hour with discounted drinks for $5 which is pretty convenient and nice.

4. The street looks its best in the morning when the flower shops have displays on the pavement but it felt safe at night too and we were happy to walk back to the hotel at night (There are some nice bars over the street on 8th avenue.

Hotel is 1/2 block from subway (28th & 7th) and Megabus arrival stop (but not departure stop that now got moved to Port Authority)We managed to see in 3 days what we planned in NYC (Central Park, Metropolitan Museum, NBC, Times Sq, Chinatown, Soho, Greenwich Village, Little Italy, 9/11 Memorial, Statue of Liberty, etc) and were very happy with overall trip and choice of accomodation.
