1. But oh wait this rule only seems to apply some - and yes we were wearing prada and chanel and we were white anglo saxion but that didn't seem to help.

2. I spent a couple of hours at the bar in the lobby trying many of the Champagnes on offer, I found all of the staff at the Plaza to be attentive and helpful, nothing was to much trouble.

3. Every time we left the hotel I would have to get an employee to help me carry the stroller up and and own the stairs to get to the lobby and through the heavy gold doors.

While the concierge was exceptionally helpful and assisted with a number of dinner reservations, every time we inquired about the use of the hotel's car (which we were told would take us anywhere in a 15-20 block radius) we were always told the car was busy, no matter how many hours ahead we asked and even when the car was sitting outside when we went to hail a taxi.
