1. I was disappointed that the Oak Room was closed but dined in the 1st floor bar/restaurant and was very happy with the choice of food and cocktails.

2. Whatever you do, don't prepay for a fixed number of nights at The Plaza for a reduced rate as this negates your ability to leave or threaten to leave if you indeed are not happy.

3. The employee in charge ( Andrei, who was overstrectched ) asked what the problem was with the service and so I explained that I wasn't happy to pay it and wished it to be removed from the bill.

4. For a $100 continental breakfast for two, you would think that they would set up the tables for you and act happy about their included gratuity.

5. I let my boyfriend keep his toiletry kit in the bathroom and I would have been happy if I could have placed my stuff in one of the drawers by the wet bar area because there was an outlet (for my curling iron) and a mirror on the wall albeit horrible lighting.

9. We orginally booked a normal room months in advance through the hotel direct and kept an eye on the special offers that are always on offer, then when we saw the 30% off the suites we rang them and they were only to happy to change (as they don;t take a holding deposit only a credit card).
