5. The rooms are newly remodeled, and while modern they did a fantastic job on the beautiful woodwork and decorations while keeping the rooms feeling charming, fresh, and Hawaiian.

7. The grounds to the hotel are well taken care of and the fact the hotel is right down the road from Whalers Village Mall makes shopping a quick and memorable experience as you carry your new belongings down the beach side back to the hotel.

8. Chris at the desk searched prices for rooms and gave us options of either staying at the new tower or going 'budget' at the Ocean Inn.

9. The only staff we had a concern were the three women that were at the counter when we checked in on new Year's day in the morning and the young girl who seated us at breakfast on the second morning.
