2. If you want a reasonably priced, pleasant, clean place on a beautiful beach with decent amenities itself and close to great food, shops, and bar scenes - you should definitely check out the Royal Lahaina.

4. My friend and I stayed at the Royal Lahaina for 8 days at the end of April/early May, ending up there more or less using a process of elimination, but it worked out great.

7. Room was great on 6th floor of tower, very modern and plenty of space with a nice lanai to watch the ocean, and whales.

8. The large one is directly in front of the restaurant, so while you get a great view of the beach, I felt like everyone eating at the restaurant was watching us.

10. The food in the on-property restaurant was very tasty & the 1/2-price bottles of wine on Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays is a great deal.
