1. In addition to a fast-food court, there are a few casual restaurants within walking distance of the Westin that serve good food at reasonable prices.

3. When the concierge found out I wasn't with my wife, she wouldn't let me do the time share tour (which I didn't want to do anyway) and couldn't get me out of the chair fast enough, even though I was asking where was the best place to snorkel.

4. It takes about a day to wind down and realize that you're in Maui where things are not so fast-paced, but once you reach that point you don't want to leave.

8. After a long day and arriving late from Oahu (Moana Surfrider), the staff was very friendly and the desk staff was fast in getting us checked in and made sure we had a welcome lei.
