1. We enjoyed the quiet, watched the waves roll in, explored the hotel's beautiful grounds, borrowed bikes and rode to the beach, enjoyed meals in the exceptional restaurant, perused the offerings at the art gallery, and indulged in a spa treatment.

It is a bit like stepping back in 70's time, it takes a while to get used to the resort being split over 2 sides of the road , no TV, no clock in the bedroom but after a while that's what's nice about it, it really was very relaxing and very quiet and does have a special atmosphere which we really enjoyed.

5. First wanted to address concerns about the community center: the grounds of the hotel are split into two sides, one with cottages and one with the standard rooms, maybe one side is an expansion from the other being original as a quiet public road runs in between the two.

10. Now later, upon further consideration, I began to appreciate the 'old Hawaii' charm that this resort has, and it really is very quiet and relaxing.
