2. All of the staff were very friendly and accomodating, and I appreciated how the staff mingled with the guests at events like the fitness and yoga classes, so it felt more like a community than a resort.

It is a bit like stepping back in 70's time, it takes a while to get used to the resort being split over 2 sides of the road , no TV, no clock in the bedroom but after a while that's what's nice about it, it really was very relaxing and very quiet and does have a special atmosphere which we really enjoyed.

5. I really would like to have rated it higher, as the importance of quality food and good staff are right up there for me, but waking up to fresh bird poop having missed my head by a couple of feet just knocks it down a couple notches.

6. Now why on earth send diners out of an empty dining room into a full bar, with less staff, and offer to serve them immediately there? As it looked to me like the entire full bar was waiting to be seated in the empty dining room, I had my doubts about the 15 minutes.

10. We were there in August -- the hottest time of year -- and the 2 ceiling fans and ocean breezes were plenty to keep us cool (and we like it quite cool when we sleep).
