1. The red tiled ground floor hall and restaurant/bar was exotic and the offer of a $1 breakfast was reasonable (and probably even worth the full price).

3. The location is a little removed from business downtown and it is a fair distance from the Hill, but I choose Hotel Rouge for that reason.

6. The Assistant General Manager, Abe, who was my point of contact in the days leading up to our stay, took note of the reason for our trip to DC and made sure the Hotel staff went above an beyond to please us.

7. I love love love Kimpton Hotels for one simple reason: they're the most dog friendly hotels that I have ever stayed in.

8. The only reason I gave it a 'poor' rating instead of a 'terrible' is that the staff was friendly and the bar looked nice (when it was actually open, which was rarely).
