1. The decor is so refreshing relative to most of the larger chain hotels, and they really pay attention to every detail.

2. When I made the reservations I was asked the kids names and was told special attention would be paid to them at check in and that they would get some sort of gift.

3. The hotel is in downtown and is AMAZING under every point of view:Staff is very very very attentive, and also gave us tips to park our car in the neighborood (this is the only real problem in DC: car parking are expensive); anyway they offer a complimentary car parking service.

9. As others have mentioned, Kimpton In Touch members get extra special attention with mini-bar coupon and free internet, etc, so be sure to sign up when you make a reservation.
