3. the general style, decor and atmosphere of the hotel is reminiscent of a motel/hotel from around 1987 sometime (the ugly end of the decade, and not in an ironic way) - it's ridiculously dated in style, shabby in appearance (and no, unfortunately, not in the chic sense of the word) and finish, and I'm sad to report, downright ugly.
