1. * the bathroom sink hot water handle didn't close all the way in the 2nd room and so water leaked * the showers look sleek, but are poorly designed (impossible to turn on the shower from outside the stall w/o getting soaked) * the cordless phone was broken in our 2nd roomI am pretty laid back and never really complain given that all I mainly care about is that the hotel can provide a good night's sleep and is clean.

2. say W Dallas+ Compared to the W New Orleans on Poydras, I would choose this location everytime unless you had a car and planned to use it a lot during your trip Opportunities- Service: highly variable; very warm and charming staff but always felt understaffed; was never treated poorly, but level of service was certainly below the W standard worldwide- No gym; this really surprised us; could go to the other W and use theirs- Restaurant was under renovation; but really, with all of the amazing restaurants nearby, would you ever use it?Tips:- If you're a platinum looking for a suite upgrade, your chances are better at the Westin or Sheraton or even the other W; typical upgrades here are going from a wonderful (no patio or balcony) to a spectacular (one with patio or balcony)- The Acme Oyster House is around the corner and is a must-go; get there right when they open at 11am to avoid the long lines.

4. Another poorly run W, and the last we'll ever stay in.

5. It was poorly staffed, offered little to no services (no spa, room service or lounge) - I even spotted a live mouse running on my floor.

6. The bathroom was not clean, was poorly ventilated and was too small for the suite.
