The cons - the service was AWFUL (rude lady at the front desk, repeatedly charged us incorrectly and were argumentative when we asked them to fix it, the concierge was clueless and hadn't heard of even the most famous attractions from Preservation Hall to Galatoire's, and everything took FOREVER), the maid service was disappointing (didn't even show up at all some days), and the decor was bland and bordered on ugly in a city with so much charm and decorative flair.

3. Other reviewers have mentioned this, but this hotel can go from aWful to Wonderful VERY quickly depending on the room you're in (and vice versa of course).

4. The bed was very comfortable but on our first night, not realizing until the very wee hours, the comforter had the worst smell, some previous guest must have done something awful on it.
