1. In New Orleans, this means that there is no damp, musty smell, the rooms are well laid-out and have modern electrical systems.

2. smelled like cigarettes, the beds were both completely tilted to the clock side (i actually flipped one myself), and the elevator was beeping loudly the entire night, to go along with slamming doors.

5. My room was clean, the upholstery on the nice chairs is spotless, the toiletries smelled awesome and nothing was broken, chipped or lacking regarding infrastructure.

7. The French Quarter is even dirtier than usual and the smells are not exactly pleasant unless you like the aroma of dampness, stale alcohol spilled in the street or other olfactory experiences which will go unmentioned.

9. My room was pretty clean and nice can't really complain except for the fact that it smelled like weed but you can't blame the hotel for that just blame the idiot smoking it, I mean I could tell it was a room that had the smell far away but it was pretty strong.
