1. The Veranda restaurant is not open for dinner, breakfast was poor and overpriced.

6. Seriously bad beds, banged up furniture, dingy hallways, tacky decor and indifferent service make the Intercontinental New Orleans a poor choice when seeking a 4* hotel.

The only bad things that i have to report about the hotel ( to my eyes it's nothing to yell about) are just two minors problems we experienced ; they have poor water pressure in the shower (all the rooms are the same, it's the area of town), and the pizza ordered from Room services ( we ordered a Pizza on the evening that we arrived, it was Mardi Gras.

9. I give it 4 stars because it appears slightly worn (evidence of poor sheetrock repair in bathroom ceililng) and because this hotel charges you for every little extra that most hotels would just throw in.

Of course I stayed at a bargain rate of $69 a night, so maybe I'm asking a lot, but I can't help thinking this place was not even worth that - there must be some wonderful hotels in New Orleans - but do yourself a favour and avoid the intercontinental, bad management and poor service means that this is a disgrace to the IChotels group.
