The decor is
worn
, the rooms (and especially the bathroom) furnishings are in disrepair, and the staff appears to have misplaced (lost?) the one attribute that made the Hotel Preston what it once was - an attitude of unique, an attitude of fun, an attitude of 'we care'.

The hotel feels dirty, carpets
worn
, elevator lights are intermittent, the pictures of the pool show 7 lounge chairs, there was only 1 and it was ripped, you could not even use it.

The room and hallways smelled of smoke, paint was peeling off the wall around the lobby elevator, the carpets were
worn
and dirty, the room was dirty, the hotel desk clerk was rude to everyone checking in that evening and seemed lost as to what he was doing.

The carpet in the room was well
worn
, sink stopped up, the bathroom door wouldn't shut right, hard to open, & the hallways were dark, dismal, looked aged & didn't reflect the modern tones of the lobby.

My only concern was the bath tub which looked dirty because of a
worn
finish and the tile around the shower spout needed to be fixed.

The bathroom showers were obviously not redone as they are
worn
to the point of feeling like sandpaper on your feet and the first room I was given had a chip out of it the size of a salad plate.
