We were greeted at 1:45 in the morning by a surly front desk staffer who was none too excited to be

trend of buying old low grade hotels and converting them to "boutique" hotels by adding a few modern fixtures (faucets, etc.

The only negatives were the loud air conditioner, which did cool the room nicely and didn`t

sleep, but was annoying, uncooled hallways, the $8.

The hotel provided 'do not
disturb
' signs with one side saying 'Not Now' and the other 'Okay, now' letting housekeeping know when to come back, which was convenient.
