1. The room wasn't really worth $200 a night and the biggest shock was the amount of mold and mildew that was visible in the shower.

3. This was not my first time at this hotel and had some problems with them in the past before they embarked on this renovation, but at that time I was told all issues (mold, musty, and very dated) would be resolved with the pending renovation, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and stayed there again.

5. The room itself was clean, the bed comfortable, however its my feeling that you can have a cheaper hotel room down the road at the Miami Hilton Downtown and at the older hotel you will not find any mold in the shower.

7. Upon closer inspection of the bathroom, I found LOTS of mold living in the causing in the shower stall, I found mold and rust on the shower door.

8. Coffee cups were still showing signs of previous use, black long hairs adorn the bathroom vanity, and moldy shower tiles and a broken shower curtain.

9. Okay, after reading the fine print and after looking at the mold in the crevices of the refrigerator, I decided I didn't want to leave my food in there anyway.

10. Overall, while definitely not a brand new hotel, all of the hardware works well and there were no age-related problems such as distressed furniture or mold.
