2. Probably the most expensive hotel we stayed at during a two week road trip, but not that much more expensive than the Holiday Inn etc -- and absolutely worth it, lots more character and style.

Bring your own alcohol - not just to be cheap as the hotel bar is expensive but also because it is so busy that it is hard to get a drink - actually believe it or not room service drinks are probably the best deal considering the wait, crowds and cost - as long as you go ahead and order everything at once ($4 delivery charge + tip every time).

7. Why would you choose NOT to stay at the Peabody? It is darn expensive, costs at every turn.

8. The lobby bar service was wonderful but expensive ($14 martinis)-- we ate most of our meals out but did eat Sunday Brunch in the main restaurant (name excapes me)-- it was delicious-- not sure about the price because the groom paid for us all.

10. So yes it is expensive and I understand some people are on a budget but if you are going to go to the Mecca of American Popular music in the twentieth century, why go half-way?.
