1. I will say the reviews about the doors being a little thin and letting in a lot of noise is true so I just put in ear plugs and had no problem.

6. Even on a high floor the noise from the city street was noticeable and housekeeping is the next best thing to a wake-up call.

7. Don't worry, you can't HEAR the planes, for those of you that are noise conscience :) If you use the gym on your stay, it's the BEST/biggest gym I've seen at a hotel.

8. Second room was on 14th floor which is a wind tunnel with excessive noise coming from the a/c units in the hallways which are audible in the rooms.

9. All in all, the Westin in uptown Charlotte is a nice place to stay, but the noise factor will probably prevent me from returning.

10. But what I don't get is the 1' + gap between the room door and the floor, allowing a lot of noise to enter the room.
